Wedding Photography
We asked Jon to come and take some informal photographs at our wedding in January. Jon really managed to capture the spirit of the day. We are still not sure how he did it because he somehow managed to blend into the background while still getting the shots; we hardly knew he was there! The things Jon managed to photograph are those which would be lost in memories if they were not captured on film - thank you very much Jon, you helped us to re-live what was a really fantastic day.

Rebekah and Rich Frankcom

Globe Theatre, London
Jon was commissioned by Globe Education to photograph our annual Our Theatre event. The work fulfilled an extremely challenging brief: to capture the essence of a day where over 600 young people were performing on the Globe stage. The range of intimate contemporary images he was able to take is a testament to his professionalism and unobtrusive approach. His composition was excellent; he was able to capture both the character of individual groups, and the unique architecture of the building.

Jon’s flexibility knew no bounds on the day, resulting in an extraordinary body of work which captures everything from the frantic moments of a dress rehearsal to the elation of the groups coming off the stage. The images have been invaluable both for publicity and explaining the nature of our work to external agencies. He offered a first class service from start to finish and we would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a modern photographer to truly capture their event.

Johanna Elworthy, Globe Education

Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff
Jon was booked to take photographs of a sponsored abseil I organised for the charity that I work for. It was an all day event in a very difficult and unusual location (on the roof of Wales Millennium Centre). Jon was very professional, he was easy to talk to on the phone and came down a few weeks before the event to have a look round and work out the best positioning for the shoot. Jon did exactly what we asked and more.

His brief was to take a photo of every abseiler as they went over the edge of the roof. This could have been tricky because we had 2 ropes and a pretty much constant run of people through the day. To make matters more complicated there were a number of members of the safety team also on the roof who could get in the way. Jon delivered an excellent set of photographs. We got at least one (normally 5 or 6) usable pictures of each abseiler. Jon also took some fantastic scenery shots from the roof and a number of technical shots that the abseil instructors will use in the future. I would happily recommend Jon to anyone, he’s very good value for money, and a very professional and technically excellent photographer.
